James Norbury

James Norbury is a 20-year-old student who is studying Sports Journalism at Huddersfield University.

As part of his practical final year studies, under the auspices of Dr. Peter Davies of the Cricket

Heritage Project and with the agreement of Mirfield CC, James has been assigned to us with a view to submitting original sports articles based upon the experiences of club members. James will also issue Press Releases for publication in the local press on matters that may be of interest to the community.

Articles may include player profiles - old and new, memorable matches, historical events and little known facts relating to Mirfield Cricket Club. All articles will be published to the Mirfield CC and the Cricket Heritage web sites and of course will contribute to his ultimate degree.

James was born in Macclesfield and is now resident in Huddersfield. He hopes to progress into a full time Sports Journalist position. Whilst not studying for his degree James enjoys playing 5-a-side football, is a keen Manchester United supporter, regularly visits the cinema, trains at the local gym  and visits home in Macclesfield as often as possible.

We do hope that club members will give James their full support and look forward with interest to his work.
