The 20-20 Cup is a fast moving 20 overs per side competition and is played midweek on a knock-out basis. Games are scheduled by the teams concerned but must be played by a stipulated date.

There are a number of interesting rules which add to the excitment of the competition: including bowling and fielding restrictions, target time limits per innings, timed out after 90 seconds for incoming batsman and only 5 minutes between innings.
